The best technical decisions are the ones engineers no longer need to think about.
I look for decisions teams are being forced to make repeatedly—about technologies, integrations, data access or platform behaviour—and try to solve those problems once, coherently, at the right level. The goal is not architecture for its own sake, but systems that are easier to understand, evolve and extend, so engineers can focus on the product problem in front of them.
